Matthew Raisky

Pianist Matthew Raisky has an extensive background in classical performance and accompanying and is an active artist based in Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from Bowling Green State University in 2018 where he studied under Dr. Robert Satterlee, and studied piano pedagogy with Dr. Cole Burger. In Fall 2020, he received his Colleague certification from the American Guild of Organists. He has additionally studied with concert artists and professors including Yevgeny Yontov, Dr. Caroline Bridger, and Dr. Michael Coonrod.
Matthew’s work has centered around contemporary classical music, including works by Carl Vine, George Crumb, as well as a focus on early 20th century Russian romantic compositions by Medtner, Prokofiev, and others. As an artist, he seeks to incorporate the experiences that reflect his queer identity, informing the expression in his playing.
